Blog: Creative Workshops, Courses and Paint Nights 2021

Creative Workshops, Courses and Paint Nights!

We are delighted to announce that we have a schedule of creative events for you to attend throughout the rest of this year.  In addition to our artist exhibition programme, we also have a series of one day painting workshops, social Paint Nights and new Art for Wellbeing courses.

It is time to get creative!

Please take a look at the programme we have scheduled so far and follow the links for further information or to make a booking.

Course: Introducing Creative Mindfulness

Start date 5th July (4 week course on Mondays)

A creative course which offers a supportive and kind environment for people to immerse themselves in art and craft activities that help focus the mind whilst introducing a range of techniques that can be developed at home. The courses are offered as 4 week modules, the first of which is a taster course that shows a variety of creative mindfulness exercises using different artforms.

These sessions introduce sketching techniques suitable for people who have never sketched as well as practising artists. We then look at using a sketchbook and how simple creative processes such as mark making, developing a journal and collage and mixing media can develop mindfulness.

Whilst sipping refreshments at leisure, you will learn how to blend colours and apply palette knife techniques whilst being encouraged to create bold and beautiful brushstrokes – finger painting is also an option!
