Inspired by the natural landscape, Louise uses highly-pigmented acid-free alcohol inks on board to create a variety of textural effects that depicts those forms within the landscape.
Born and raised in South Yorkshire, Louise had a childhood which was filled with adventures into the countryside and the coast. Spending time walking through woodlands, watching the wildlife and exploring rock-pools and caves became her source of inspiration.
After finishing art college in 1991 and initially running her own local craft stall, Louise continued to draw and paint and pursue her career as an artist. We find her material processes extremely effective in interpreting those patterns and forms in nature; we are excited to introduce her work to the gallery this Autumn 2018.
