Nick Dillon

Nick Dillon

Born and bred in Manchester, Nick’s art is heavily influenced by pop culture and music, particularly the 80’s and 90’s Manchester music scene.

Working on large-scale canvases, the painting may be of a well-known album cover or an iconic musician’s portrait but the artist presents tactile paintings through a paint layering process that represents the physical object such as a vinyl record. Nick also creates embossed text that runs across the whole of the canvas, for example, if the image is of an album cover, the artist incorporates every single song lyric from that album with this hand-crafted low-relief technique.

Each canvas painted is an original, unique, bespoke piece. ‘All my work is hand-painted, not printed, no machines, just me and my paintbrush.’

Combining visual art and music, we are excited to introduce Nick's work for both music and art collectors alike. Commissions are also available, please enquire.
