Nicky Litchfield

We welcome another north-west based artist to our gallery in Chester. As a child, Nicky spent her weekends and summers at her grandparents' farm, and it was there that her love of animals began. Now, artist Nicky Litchfield paints from her studio in the picturesque village of Hurst Green in the Ribble Valley, and can often be found out and about sketching with her companion, Max the dog, by her side.

Traditional subject matter such as hares, foxes and livestock are at the heart of her animal pastel paintings. With a playful use of line and colour she produces delightful, contemporary artworks full of character and charm.
