Zoltan Preiner

Zoltan Preiner

Born in Budapest in 1955, Hungarian artist Zoltan Preiner went on to study at the Academy of Fine Arts in the capital.

Influences from the 17th century Baroque period are clear to see, particular the Dutch Golden Age period of painting. Focusing on still life, Preiner applies that typical Baroque characteristic of rendering the subject matter in luminous, theatrical lighting.

These realist oil paintings are created with a precision that immediately draws the eye to look more closely at the richness of detail.
